Is Universal Moving Services fully licensed and insured?
Yes — we hold Pennsylvania PUC household-goods authority along with US DOT and MC authority for anything crossing state lines, and every Philadelphia job is backed by $1M in cargo coverage.
How do you put together the flat rate?
We ask about your inventory, access at both ends (stairs, elevator, parking distance), and your target date, then work out real crew and truck hours and send back one number to approve. What that number says is what you pay at the curb.
Do you handle building paperwork?
Yes. Angela handles certificate-of-insurance requests most Philadelphia buildings ask for and confirms any freight-elevator or loading-dock windows before crew day.
What if my settlement date gets pushed?
That happens often enough that we plan for it. We’ll hold your things in clean, climate-controlled storage on a month-to-month basis, no long-term commitment.
Do I need to put down a deposit?
A $150 flat deposit locks in your date and comes off your final bill. The rest of the rate is written out beforehand so nothing surprises you on move day.
